The annual CopaCup has been established as an invite only tournament in 1998. Since then every year at Christmas the most talented and underrated table tennis players of the world gather together to play the CopaCup. The rules are simple and the teams are paired by the highly experienced and sophisticated tournament director. Alcohol is allowed and can play a very crucial part during the tournament.
In 1998 the CopaCup was founded as an Amateur tournament. But in 2004 with the arrival of zhe Germans it turned PRO.
